Longboard Features:

-
Scoop Nose Channel: Slows board when walking by compressing water through the concave creating "lift", for increased stability when nose riding.
-
Medium Width: Allows for nice stable board with relatively early wave catching and great maneuverability.
-
Pin tail: The sharp pin tail offers great hold in steeper wave faces and gives you a easier subtle shift dynamic when turning.
-
Squash tail (option): An adaptation of the square tail it allows the water to fan out across the flat section giving you acceleration. But, unlike a traditional square tail it holds the rail in the wave face more like a pin tail.
-
Soft 60/40 to performance rail: Hard rails in the tail and nose area creates great hold in the wave and allows you to project out of your bottom turns. Combined with the softer rail in the fuller central part of the board this board releases when turning and water spirals along the curve when walking the board helping with stability on the wave side edge.
-
Flat Belly to slight V: The flat allows the board to plane flat sections and the V through the tail gives this board a smooth rail to rail transition.
-
Fin Set Up: This board comes as a 2 + 1 Set up (two sides and a longboard box center) in all sizes off the shelf. Side fins are Fcs1 or Fcs2 on PU boards and Future system on epoxylite boards.
-
Construction: The Allrounder comes as PU. PU is the traditional construction of closed cell foam, stringer, fibreglass and polyster resin. Note all epoxy's are made abroard so custom option is not usually available.
-
Cloth: All boards feature 1 x 6oz + 1 x 4ozglass on deck and double 4oz underneath. With custom build we can add layers or change weights.
The Allrounder has a long history as one of the most well known Custard Point longboards. It has a high rocker profile but, a nice medium volume. This makes it a perfect longboard for lots of differing wave types and surfing styles.
Shaped by Tim Mellors it was a result of combining and refining boards throughout the 80s and 90s. Sleeker rails and high rockers were popular in surfing and Tim created a board that although had good float, it also had a more performance orientation.
The board borrows its curves from the traditional Californian pintails and shares them with more modern performance enhancing features. Like lower rails, sharper tail and a continuous rocker line. The nose channel is a tear drop scoop which really slows the board down when you walk allowing it to nose ride extremely well. The high performance features makes this board hold well in the steep part of the wave face yet feel lively and effortless to turn.

The Allrounder also features two tail shapes either a rounded pin giving a lively feel or a semi squash tail for more projection and added stability. The careful design of this board make it a true allrounder. It surfs great in small waves and if it starts to pump it will fly!

We run it in two main sizes 9'2 and 9'6, with an 8'8 for those wanting an easier carry or folk with storage and transport issues.
Available in both off the shelf and as custom builds

I absolutely love my Custard Point Allrounder!! I've had it 15 years plus now. I'd like a new one exactly the same. Same board, same colour, same fun!!
